Animal Cells

  • Require energy from an outside source

  • Their Defining Features (what makes them different) :

    • Plasma Membrane (the outside barrier)

    • Nucleus (DNA inside)

    • Cytoplasm (the fluid space inside)

    • Various other organelles

Plant Cells

  • Their Defining Features :

    • Cell Wall (Extra Barrier on the outside of the Plasma Membrane)

    • Chloroplasts (An organelle that processes sunlight for photosynthesis)

    • A Vacuole (Large central organelle that contains a cell's liquid)

  • Overall plant cells contain more organelles and features than animal cells
