Prokaryotic Cells - Prokaryotic cells are bacteria cells. They are fairly simple and lack much organization within.

Eukaryotic Cells - Eukaryotic cells are cells of all other organisms (plants, animals, fungi, etc.). They also have a nucleus and organelles that make them special. 

​

Nucleus - The Nucleus is a membrane bound structure within a cell that contains DNA.

​

Organelles - An Organelle is a general term for a membrane-bound structure within a cell.

​

What is a Cell?

Cells are the simplest unit of life. They are the structure and building blocks of all organisms. There are two classifications of cells:

  • Prokaryotic​

        and

  • Eukaryotic
