Type 1 Diabetes
Background Info
Type 1 Diabetes (also known as juvenile diabetes because people are born with it) is "chronic condition in which the pancreas produces little to no insulin" (Mayo Clinic). This is an issue because the hormone insulin circulates throughout the body and allows sugar(glucose) to enter into your cells. In type 1 diabetes, the lack of insulin prevents many cells from producing energy since they don't have the glucose. Below is a list of symptoms provided by Mayo Clinic.

In addition to this, Type 1 Diabetes requires the specific genes and an environmental trigger in order for the disease to start. Some scientists from Diabetes.org say that environmental factors like cold weather give you a higher risk of activating the diesease.
