What's the Difference?
Homozygous Dominant

When an organism carries two copies of the same dominant allele, it is Homozygous Dominant.

This is shown in the picture below with two capital P's being Homozygous Dominant.

Heterozygous

When an organism carries two different alleles, the organism is Heterozygous.

This is shown in the picture below with Bb and bB being Heterozygous.


Homozygous Recessive

When an organism carries two copies of the same recessive allele, it is Homozygous Recessive.
-
This is shown in the picture below with two lowercase p's being Homozygous Recessive.
